Student Voices runner-up Eghonghon Okhilu addresses our recent prompt addressing the topic of homelessness in AmericaWith over 500,000 individuals homeless on a nightly basis in the United States, it continues to be an increasingly important issue to address. For our recent Ark Law Student Voices Scholarship prompt addressing the topic, we are recognizing several runners-up alongside our winner due to the numerous insights shared.

One runner-up, Eghonghon Okhilu, notes that an absence of moderate lodging joined with dropping pay at the lower end of the U.S. wage scale have been referred to by experts as a driver of vagrancy in US urban areas. Temporary housing and solutions can be put in to place, but permanent solutions and services are the key task for society to next perform.
